Fujiwara and Honda are reprising their roles from the Persona 3 stage plays, and will appear in the Persona 4 Arena Ultimax stage play in the form of 3D videos.
The play will run from July 6 through July 10 at Tokyo's Theater G-Rosso. Shutaro Oku, who directed the stage play adaptations of Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3, Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4, and Persona 4 Arena (Persona 4: The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena), will return to direct the latest play in the series. Mio Inoue (Actually, I Am…, Is the order a rabbit?) will write the script, and Shin Megami Tensei franchise composers Shoji Meguro and Atsushi Kitajō will compose the music.
The story takes place only a few days after the events of Persona 4 Arena, when the town of Inaba is clouded in a shroud of red fog in which time is warped and people disappear. Inaba has almost become like the world inside the television. To add to it all, the members of the Persona 4 team find Mitsuru and Akihiko being crucified on the Midnight Channel. In front of the Inaba students appear Yukari and Junpei, members of the Shadow Worker unit who have come to the rural town in order to save their upperclassmen.
