Cardcaptor Sakura's Sealing Wand isn't just for capturing Clow Cards, it also battles bad hair days. A new hair dryer modeled after the magical item is now available for pre-order until May 8. The item is the latest collaboration with mail-order otaku fashion site, SuperGroupies.
The hair dyer costs 10,260 yen (US$94) and is expected to ship in July. The appliance folds at the neck for easy storage and has "cool" "hair care" and "quick dry" settings.
The original Cardcaptor Sakura magical girl manga series ran in Nakayoshi from May 1996 to June 2000, and Kodansha published 12 volumes of the manga from November 1996 to July 2000. The series is the midst of its 20th anniversary celebration. SuperGroupies has released Cardcaptor Sakura jewelry, pillows, watches, umbrellas, loungewear, wallets, and actual dresses.
