Yuri Kuma Arashi Manga Ends on April 30

Akiko Morishima's manga adapts Kunihiko Ikuhara's Yuri Kuma Arashi anime

Manga creator Akiko Morishima announced on her blog on April 3 that she will end her Yuri Kuma Arashi manga in the June issue of Gentosha Comics, Inc.'s Monthly Comic Birz magazine, which Gentosha Comics will publish on April 30. The manga adapts the Yuri Kuma Arashi anime by director Kunihiko Ikuhara (Revolutionary Girl UtenaPenguindrum, several Sailor Moon television series).
The "intellectual fantasy" follows Kureha, a "transparent" high school girl who is plain and is barely noticed by others. Seemingly every night, she has a "dream about a bear and an invisible storm." In this dream, her mysterious classmate Ginko Yurishiro appears in the form of a bear.
Morisihima launched the series in Monthly Comic Birz in April 2014.Gentosha Comics, Inc. published the manga's second compiled book volume last July.
Morishima penned the yuri series Hanjuku-Joshi in Ichijinsha's Comic Yuri Hime magazine, and Ichijinsha published two volumes in 2008 and 2009, respectively. JManga released the series on its digital platform before ending service in 2013.
