New website celebrates 50th anniversary of Ultra Series

Tsuburaya Productions Co., Ltd. began streaming a region-locked teaser video for an upcoming Ultraman project on a new website on Friday. The website and video are part of a project that marks the 50th anniversary of the Ultra Series, which began on January 2, 1966 with Ultra Q.
The "All Ultra heroes movie!!" video includes clips from every major project in the Ultra Series, from Ultra Q in 1966 to Ultraman X in 2015. The teaser ends with the words "What's Next…?"

Tsuburaya began streaming the first episode of 2004's Ultraman Nexus on YouTube in December. The company announced that the full, 37-episode series will stream "soon" onCrunchyroll with English subtitles.
An Ultraman X film will premiere in Japan on March 12. The Ultraman X television series premiered in Japan on July 14, and Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired.
In July, Tsuburaya streamed a mysterious region-locked "ULTRAMAN_n/a" video with no description, featuring a CG-rendered first-generation Ultraman fighting a kaijū in Tokyo's Shibuya ward. The video features English text on the screen, stating "In a time of destruction / He returns / The ultimate battle begins." The video ends with the text "7.7". Tsuburaya Productions Co., Ltd. founder Eiji Tsuburaya was born on July 7, 1901.
