4 volumes each of One-Punch Man, Tokyo Ghoul also rank on list
Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring spinoff manga topped Nielsen BookScan's Top 20 Graphic Novel chart for January. Viz Media released the manga on January 5. The top 20 list included nine manga volumes, all published by Viz Media.
The list includes four volumes of ONE and Yuusuke Murata's One-Punch Man manga. The manga's fourth volume ranked at #2, the first volume ranked at #3, the second volume ranked at #4, and the third volume ranked at #6. Viz Media released the fourth volume on January 5. The first three volumes had all ranked on December's top 20 list.
Sui Ishida's Tokyo Ghoul manga also occupied four rankings on the list. The manga's first volume ranked at #8, the fourth volume ranked at #9, the second volume ranked at #12, and the third volume ranked at #14. Viz Media released the manga's fourth volume last December. All four volumes also ranked on December's top 20 list.
The BookScan rankings represent sales at Barnes & Noble and other book chains, independent bookshops, and online purchases — but not sales at comic book stores, Amazon, Walmart.com, and some other venues.
