All Out!!, an anime about rugby, is scheduled for a premiere this fall. Naturally, it has formed a collaboration with the ASICS Cup, a Japanese high school rugby sevens tournament. Notably, the poster differs from the anime's key art—promoters must have thought they'd have more luck attracting actual rugby players by not placing as much emphasis on Captain Sekizans' backside. His rippling abs remain intact.
The promotional poster: "With sevens, someone will take the lead."
The anime series' key artwork.
The ASICS Cup will be held from July 15 to 18 in the Edogawa Stadium in Edogawa, Tokyo; the preliminary pool is scheduled for the 16th and the final two matches and awards ceremony will take place on the 18th. The tournament aims to strengthen rugby sevens in Japan ahead of the Tokyo Olympics in 2020, uncover promising young players, and increase the number of competitive rugby teams. The poster above will be used to advertise the tournament at participating high schools and related events.
All Out!!'s Takuya, Sumiaki and Masaru will also be available as figures this August.
