Eiki Eiki, Taishi Zaou's boys-love manga inspired TV anime in 2014
This year's July issue of Kadokawa's CIEL magazine revealed on May 30 that Taishi Zaou and Eiki Eiki's Love Stage!! boys-love manga will end in the magazine's September issue on July 30. The September issue's cover will feature the series, and the final chapter will have an opening color page.
The manga revolves around Izumi Sena, a boy born into a family of ultra-famous entertainers. However, he is the only member of the family who is not in the entertainment industry, and he is a super otaku college student, too. He has been striving hard to become a manga creator, but he ends up starring in a television commercial. He eventually cross paths again with the very famous actor Ryūma, who becomes aware of his attraction toward Izumi.
Eiki and Zaou launched the series in CIEL in 2010, and Kadokawa published the manga's sixth compiled volume on October 1.
The series was adapted into a 10-episode anime series that premiered in July 2014, and Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired. Sentai Filmworks licensed the series for home video release in North America, and will release the series with the OVA on DVD and Blu-ray Disc on Tuesday.
Viz Media's SuBLime imprint released the manga's fifth compiled volume digitally and in print on May 10.
