Japanese light novel news website LN News reported last Sunday that Tappei Nagatsuki and Shinichirou Otsuka's Re:Zero light novel series has 1 million copies in print. The series was the #10 best-selling light novel series in Japan from November 2015 to May 2016.
Kadokawa is streaming a 15-second commercial for the series' second short story book collection, which is slated for release on June 24. Rie Takahashi, who voices the character Emilia in the novel series' television anime adaptation, narrates the commercial.
Yen Press will publish the novel series in North America
Nagatsuki launched the story in the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in 2012, and Kadokawa published the eighth novel in the series on March 25. The television anime adaptation premiered on April 3. Crunchyroll is streaming the series as it airs in Japan.
